Hello again, I am back with another Spa experience!

Last weekend, my housemates and I went on a little road trip to Göteborg and the countryside. We rented a cabin a little south of Göteborg. So, on Saturday we got in the car and drove to the city. It was my first time in Göteborg, and it did not disappoint. We wandered around the Christmas market in Haga and ate lunch at a super nice spot called Dirty Records. After, we went to the Göteborgs konstmuseum where you can see all kinds of art and it is free for students! In the evening, we drove to our little Airbnb we booked for two nights. It was located in the middle of nowhere, so it was a perfect little hideaway.

On Sunday evening we went to Ästad vingård, one of Sweden’s largest vineyards in the Åkulla beech forests nature reserve. However, we went here because they have a beautiful nature-inspired spa. The first time I heard about this spa was when my housemate sent me a reel on Instagram in September. Since then, we dreamed of going there. Finally, we made the decision to visit the spa in December. We decided to go on a Sunday evening, as it is the cheapest time to visit (we are still students). We had a timeslot from 19:oo to 23:00, so it was dark when we got there, however it was still really nice. The spa is incredibly fancy and beautiful. At the reception, we got a towel, robe, and slippers. The inside of the spa is really impressive. They have an inside and outside pool, multiple saunas, footbaths, facemasks, and a lot of nice places to sit and relax. It was so lovely to explore the grounds, as all the saunas are in different buildings outside.

The most impressive was the underwater sauna, which is as the name says, underwater. They put lamps underwater, so when you were sitting inside the sauna, you could see the different plants and little animals living in the water. It was a lot of fun because you could also jump in the cold water outside and then the people inside could see you through the windows. It was so relaxing and fun. Definitely the most fun spa experience I’ve had so far. It is beautiful at night but I definitely think it is even prettier during the day, as the complex is focused on nature and their main building is a castle. You can also spend the night there if you want to have the full experience! We went back to our Airbnb fully relaxed and happy.

On Monday, we drove back to Linköping, enjoying the snowy views from our windows. Sweden in winter is just the most beautiful thing!

I would definitely recommend visiting the Ästad vingård spa, resta

urant or just visiting the surroundings if you feel like going on a trip!

See you next time!
