My dear readers,

Earlier this month, I celebrated my first ever American thanksgiving, all thanks (haha) to my friend Connor, who is also an international ambassador, just like me.

It was a very lovely experience and quite special for me as I had never done it before, just seen it in the movies, TV shows or in my friend’s social media updates. I met a lot of people that were studying Statistics and Machine Learning and practiced some of my language skills with all the international people present.

The food was absolutely delicious and very on theme – there was turkey (of course), gravy, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, stuffing, jam (lingon being the Swedish touch) and even pumpkin pie for dessert! I was so shocked just staring at all the food because it all looked so amazing and I didn’t think I’d be so lucky to experience the full thanksgiving platter.

Another cute thing that I thought was very cute was when we all went around the room and all mentioned something we were thankful for. I took this moment to express my gratitude for studying at an international university and meeting so many people from all over the world. I am so happy to be an international ambassador because I get to learn so much more about different cultures, connect with people worldwide and form memories that last a lifetime. I honestly never expected to get invited but I am so happy I did because I learnt a lot about America and their thanksgiving culture. Thank you Connor for a very lovely first thanksgiving, it will always be special to me <3

Did you guys celebrate thanksgiving? Let me know in the comments 😀
