Hello people and welcome back!

If you don’t know it yet, people in Sweden have a passion for second hand shopping, and there are several places you’re welcome to check out if you’re ever in need to buy something, or if you want to spend an afternoon with a friend looking at what these places have to offer. After living here for over a year I’ve bought a little bit of everything (plates, pots, chairs, toasters, blenders and so on), but most of all I’ve bought clothes, including the amazing winter jacked that has allowed me to survive Swedish temperatures!

Since the Design Master I’m attending has classes both in Linköping and in Norrköping, I’ve explored both these cities well enough to give you a rundown of my favourite places to go!

Linköping

Myrorna. A second hand store in the city centre that has both clothes and furniture

Awesome Rags. An amazing second hand store right in the city centre, but beware because the prices are a little bit higher than the other ones.

Återvinningen. This store is very big and has so many items! It’s a little bit outside the city centre but it’s 5 minutes by bike from Stora Torget, in Vasastaden.

Stadsmissionen. This store, along with the next ones, is in Tornby, the shopping district in the northern part of Linköping. It has been recently renovated and most of the clothing items are sold for 79 sek / kilogram, so you will not find price tags.

Erikshjälpen. Another store in Tornby that has way more furniture than clothes, but most definitely worth a visit, especially since there’s a café where you can stop for a fika break!

Myrorna. Just next to Erikshjälpen! It’s huge and it has so many things! It just recently opened but it’s amazing

Busfrö. It’s behind Myrorna but I haven’t been yet. It recently opened so i still think it’s worth to mention!

Hjärta till Hjärta. Another huge second hand store in Tornby where there’s also a very nice café inside!

Norrköping

Myrorna. Since this is a chain, you will also find a Myrorna in Norrköping. It’s on two floors and you can find anything you might possibly need.

Busfrö. Not far from the previous one, you will find this store which has a very varied selection of clothes.

Stadsmissionen. There are two different shops in Norrköping. The first one is in the city centre but it’s quite small. The second one you will find in Mirum Galleria (you might need to take the tram because it’s a 45 minute walk that I only do in the summer), and I greatly recommend going there because that’s where I found my most precious mugs!

Hope you’ll go check some of these out!
