I’m here to share some tips that really helped me kickstart my thesis research. Let me tell you about my experience at Linköping University. My thesis topic was quite different from what I usually study, so I needed to do some serious digging. I started with some general searches and even asked ChatGPT for help to understand the basics.
Since my program covers a bunch of different subjects, I’ve learned to connect them with design. Design is super important in lots of areas, which really came in handy for me. But when it came to the scientific stuff I needed for my thesis, I knew I needed some guidance.
That’s when I talked to my supervisor, who suggested I check out the library’s search support. So, off I went to the library! The staff there were really nice and helped me book a one-on-one session. I found out I could either meet in person or online with experts in different fields. This was awesome because I wasn’t sure how to find the right info or keywords for my research.
I quickly booked an online session and it was so helpful! I learned a ton about finding materials in my field that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. It was actually pretty cool!
