Summer is around the corner; it is really beautiful here is Sweden during summer, so I decided to spend it in Sweden. So, here is how I started to plan for it.

I started by researching popular summer destinations in Sweden. I Considered places like Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, the Swedish archipelago, Gotland, Dalarna, and the stunning national parks like Abisko or Sarek.

I began to determine the time. I decided how long I want to spend in each destination during the summer. I also considered the number of days I can allocate for the trip and prioritize the destinations and activities based on the time available for each one.

I set a budget.  I established a budget for y trip. I also considered costs for accommodation, transportation, meals, attractions, and any additional activities or souvenirs I want to get from each destination. I guess this is very important for me as it will help me plan accordingly and ensure I make the most of my resources.

I planned my itinerary. I have created an itinerary based on y chosen destinations and the time available. I have allocated specific days for each location, taking into account travel time between places. I also Included both popular attractions and off-the-beaten-path experiences to get a well-rounded experience of Sweden.

Now, I will work on booking accommodation. So, I will research and book my accommodation in to secure the best options and rates. I guess I will choose between hostels, and Air Bnbs depending on what I find good and within my budget.

Following that I will book transportation. For this I will determine the most convenient mode of transportation for my trip. Sweden has an efficient public transportation system, including trains, buses, and ferries. So, again here it is depending on rates and my budget.

My main target from this plan is to embrace the Swedish culture and explore the local culture by visiting museums, art galleries, and historical sites. I will also take part in traditional festivals and events happening during my visit. Also, I am planning to try Swedish cuisine, including traditional dishes like meatballs, herring, and the Swedish fika 😉

The main thing is that I want to remember myself to be flexible and open to new experiences during my summer trips in Sweden and I really want to ‘embrace the Swedish lifestyle, connect with locals, and make lasting memories. So, wish me enjoyable trips and experience.
