5 apps you need if you are going to study at LIU
Hello everyone,
In this post, I will tell you about some apps that have been useful to me during this course studying at LIU. I am sure that some of them will be useful for you. Here is the name and description of five of them.
First of all, we have LIU-APP. In this app, you must register with your lisam user and you will be able to find all the information you need during the course. You will be able to see your daily schedules, and the app will inform you of the time and the room you have to go to for each class. You will also be able to search on the map for the rooms you need to go to, and you will be able to see the map of the campus and the building. For those of you studying at the Norrköping campus, you can see the bus schedule and even see where the buses go. Really useful all year round.
The second app is the Östgötatatrafiken app. In this app, you simply have to write from where you want to go and the app will show you the different public transports you have to take to get there, the transfers, and the schedules. From this app, you can buy tickets for bus, train or other transport.
The third app is the Freja ID app. This app serves as an identifier and proves that you are a physical person. It is very useful, for example, to make a doctor’s appointment in advance. The app is free and you will have to perform a few simple steps to get an identity verification.
The Mecenat app is an app for students in which you have to prove that you are a student with your registration receipt. When you register you will have access to the official card that proves that you are a student and along with it, many discounts from different stores. And related to student apps, I also recomend Orbi, an app where you will find events for students in Linköping.
Finally, a not-so-essential app but that I find very curious is the Aurora Fcst app. This app is an app that forecasts the aurora borealis in the area and tells you the percentage of probability of seeing auroras and sends you notifications to alert you in case there is a high probability. During this last course, there have been auroras twice in Linköping, but the chances increase if you travel north.
All these apps have been useful to me during my last course and I hope they will be useful to you too.
