Hello everyone, In this post I would like to tell you about the different options you have if you are a student on Linkoping and want to spend your free time in a student organization, doing what you like and meeting new people.

First of all, an international student must know about the associations ISA and ESN. ISA is an international student association, and they organize activities such as soccer, movie nights, board games, and many others. They also organize dinners, parties, cultural events, and excursions. You won’t want to miss any of their events.

On the other hand, we have ESN, and Erasmus Student Network. Like ISA they also organize activities, parties, and trips. They are a great help to new students and will advise you about buying your bike, accommodation, and how to make your life on campus easier. Also, something very interesting is the Buddy program which they connect students with new students to help them adjust to their new life.

Both organizations are very welcoming and will make you feel at home. They are a great opportunity to do new activities, slowly get to know new areas around the city and above all, meet international students who will be living the same experience as you. I encourage you to visit their website by clicking on their names in this post.

But this university does not only have these two organizations, for international students we have other organizations such as Language café, East Asian Association, and IAESTE (International Association for Practice Exchange) among others.

In addition to international associations, we have organizations in the fields of computers and electronics, media, sports, religion, music, human rights, and politics. I am sure you will be able to find one where you feel you can share your hobbies with others. To find out more about these organizations you can find information here.

Many of the organizations you will find in the Kårallen building. This building has a common room where you can sit down, have a cheap coffee with your colleagues, and eat in the dining room. I also encourage you to visit their website to keep an eye on the events they organize.

On the other hand, it is also interesting to know that we have Campus Hallen, a gym where you can join different sports activities on campus. Sometimes they do sports events and you can try a free trial week in the gym. In my case, I joined a gym in Ryd where you can attend different classes like, Thai boxing, MMA, and Judo among other martial arts.

Last but not least we would like to mention some of the most popular pubs among students. Beljan is the famous café in Kårallen, flamman is a famous disco with many events and VilleValla pub is my favorite pub where you can meet your friends, eat, drink, and play their many board games, I personally love this pub because playing board games always makes the evening more fun and can be a great conversation starter.

I hope you will get the most out of your experience and join one of the events at these organizations and places!
