My favorite student accommodation

Are you planning to study in Sweden? The first thing first. In my experience, If you are not pre-plan your accommodation before your arrival, you might face a lot of issues. I would recommend that, plan it early as possible. Some of you might aware of the queuing system. But I know some of them are not so familiar with securing an accommodation. Because I was one of them before I came to Sweden. Then I would love to share how I went through it.
I picked Studentbostäder which is my favorite student housing service. This was my first impression. During the whole process, I didn’t deal with anyone physically which is amazing and time-saving. It was dealing with emails except for the day that collect the key. I forgot to tell you one thing. First, Create an account on Studentbostäder. From the day you create your account, you earn points per day. The point system offers you to get your desired student housing. Then make sure to register your account at least 2-3 months before your arrival.
Find your Accommodation
In Linköping, there are a few areas where you can find student housing. On the website, you can filter options according to your requirements such as room numbers, furnished or unfurnished. Then you get the list of housing available at the moment. Click here to find housing around Linköping. I usually check the distance from the university to my house, because it saves transport costs and time. But it is not an issue if you have a bike.
What they offer
The rental fee is more affordable than normal housing services. Generally, a corridor room starts from 3500 kr. Another interesting part is you only pay the rental for 10 months. For summer June and July, you can stay for free. Rent includes TV and internet. My rental includes electricity, TV, and internet. Laundry rooms, even detergent includes in washing machines. It’s really cool which I never experienced previously. Apart from furniture, In kitchen areas, you can find all accessories, kitchen items, cutleries, plates, rice cookers, and many more. You don’t have to struggle to purchase on your arrival. For more details click here. you will never feel that you are not at home. Cleaning services are offered by Studentbostäder for common areas such as the kitchen, and study space. But don’t forget to clean your room and your own space in the fridge. Download the Studentbostäder app once you rent your apartments. It made me easy to make payments, check my invoices, and book laundry rooms, study areas, and other communal spaces. The app made my life easy ever.

I’m unable to understand the studentbostader website. Can u help me understand it. I have created an account and currently have 45 points. I want to know which month will most of the rooms become available and how am I supposed to finalise it and do the payment from my home bank to the company. Also if in the end I dont get a place does LiU give any assistance to such cases?

Because many students are planning to relocate during that period.
Fortunately, the process of securing a room or apartment is relatively straightforward. If you already have an account, all you need to do is select at least five rooms that interest you and indicate your interest by clicking. Once the housing providers decide to make an offer to you, you will receive an email notification. From there, you can engage in several email conversations and proceed with the necessary payments to secure your desired place.
