When you live in one of the most beautiful countries – Sweden, You  always feel a tickle in your feet to travel. Norrköping being very close to Linköping has always been on my list to travel. However, I had been to Norrköping before but at night to see the light festival in December 2021. That was an entirely different experience. I was already mesmerized by the beauty of the city. Still, I wanted to visit in the daylight.

Special thanks to ESN(Erasmus Student Network) here at LiU  to arrange this beautiful day trip. Whenever it comes to travel, we always think of expenses. Do you know we have free university bus services throughout the day from Linköping to Norrköping and vice-versa (only for LiU students)? It was perfect, as my travel expenses were shorted down to zero.

We gathered around 12 at Vallafarten bus stop(at Campus Valla) and the journey began. Unlike regular trips, it was more like a picnic trip, where we brought our lunches as well. The journey from Linköping to Norrköping is roughly around 30 min.

After reaching Norrköping, we walked around to see
1. Norrköping City hall
2. Hedvig’s Church
3. City scapes
and then we stopped for lunch.

Post-lunch, we went to Norrköping Visualization Centre to experience an immersive 3D full-dome theatre. And guess what, it was free too. Voila

There is no evening complete without a Fika. So, went to a nearby cafe for a quick coffee, as we didn’t want to miss our bus back to Linköping. Overall, it was a spectacular and pocket-friendly experience.

I hope you enjoyed reading.
