Some time ago, some friends and I decided that we wanted to go on another hike, despite the cold weather and early darkness, and I am so glad we did!
So on a Saturday morning we took the country bus 540 towards Hallstad, Rimfosa and went on this scenic little hike. For a while we walked through a little town, which allowed us to see some really beautiful houses and also talk to a very kind resident, that gave us a lot of hiking tips for future trips.
Then we decided to walk up a hill to get a view over the area and a close by lake. At first I wasn’t sure if this was a good idea, since there was a little snow on the way and it was quite steep, but we were all wearing good shoes and made sure to go slow, so there were no problems. If you decide to do this hike as well, and go to the lake, definitely go up this hill first, the view is really worth it! I also want to go back to this place in spring or summer, I imagine it would be an even better experience then.

After we had a quick little lunch break on top of the hill, we made our way down again and walked further until we reached the lake. That took roughly another 15 minutes. At the lake we had a nice tea break until we started to get quite cold and made our way back to the bus stop. Overall we walked about 12km, and it was a really enjoyable little winter hike.
