Sometimes in winter its hard to find exciting activities for the weekends, because we are kind of limited by the cold and early darkness, so I thought I’d show you, what I did on a Sunday where I combined cozy activities with a stunning sunset trip to lake Roxen.

BRUNCH

First I started my day out with an early brunch at Babettes Kafferi with some friends. You have probably already heard of this café if you live in Linköping, since it is quite popular. They have really good food (+Vegan alternatives) and great coffee. The café itself is super cozy, but very busy, so it is not always easy to actually get a table, but it is definitely worth checking out.

MUSEUM

After Brunch we spontaneously decided to head to the Airforce Museum. To get there you can always take your bike or get on bus 6, which stops right in front of the museum (Stop: Flygvapenmuseum). It was quite a chilly day, so we just hopped on the bus to get there and it was super convenient. The museum is free of charge, so it is really worth checking out, even if you are not super interested in planes. I really liked how the museum was set up, and that some parts of the exhibitions were more interactive.

SUNSET

We then went back to the Central Station and took bus 10 from Linköping Resecentrum towards Roxen Lake. There are several bus stops you can hop out on, but we excited the bus at Östernäs and from there went right down to the lake. We were right on time for the sun to set and the view was amazing! There were people out skating and everything looked so serene… the view was truly worth to venture out into the cold.

Also, the neighbourhood in that area had such nice houses! I personally love walking around and looking at houses. Architecture can be so different depending on the area, so when the red hues of the sun were disappearing we wandered around for a little longer before we took the bus back into the city centre.

MOVIE NIGHT

To round off the day we grabbed some takeout and cozied up in front of the tv to watch a movie and warm back up from our sunset adventure. All in all that was an amazingly cozy and fun Sunday.

I hope all of you are doing well, are healthy and staying safe. Maybe you got some inspiration for your own cozy Sunday when your out of ideas and just wishing for summer to come back. Take care, talk to you again soon // M.
