Making your food for yourself is very essential, especially if you live on a student friendly budget. Cooking for myself is not only saving a lot of money but also a lot of benefits are behind that!

Control your nutrition plan and stay healthy:
As you cook for yourself you can choose and plan what you want for your daily nutrition portions. As you are student, you will not have much time to cook every meal. Therefore, you will rely a lot on quick and ready stuff like fruits and vegetables which are something very important for your healthy. For me, I prefer to eat salad or fruits for my lunch meal, they are healthy and easy to take them away with me.

Relax and disconnect from a very long day of lectures and studying
Cooking can be stress relieving after a long day. I love listening to music while I am cooking, and that makes me feel like I am chilling out. Mixing, flipping, or even making a dough is just a stress relieve therapy.

Cooking brings joy to my life
When you cook and get the final dish you feel like you stimulate your sense! This is like you have achieved an important task. When you start the cooking process it just takes you away from any problems that you are thinking in at the present. This is through the ingredients, the steps, and the way of cooking and then the final dish.

Improve your imagination skills
Cooking can also optimize your imagination sense, as through the process you don’t expect what is the result will look like, but you only trust yourself and the recipe that you are following. Therefore, it makes you imagine the taste the dish looks, and it makes you asking questions like “what if…?” what if I added this herb or that ingredient and you imagine the test!

cook with your friends and have fun
One thing that i really love is to cook for people, and the more lovely when you cook together, you feel like you are accomplishing something together. it also shows how much you love and care about them.

So my advice if you don’t know how to cook you can start by inviting your friends who you know they cook well, cook with them and just try to learn from their expertise 🙂
