Growing up watching the beautiful Autumn, and the cozy summer of Europe (only in movies), I always dreamt to experience this in real. After completing my bachelor’s in 2018 in India, I joined a German Company (in India, of course) as a Software Developer. Till then, I had no plans of higher education at any abroad university. It was in December 2018, when I got motivated after talking to my college senior to study abroad. Now, it wasn’t that tough for me to decide the country, since I was confident to study in Europe.

It took me a couple of months to figure out the application procedure and requirements. I started to prepare for exams and documents. After preparing all the documents and being ready with the results, I applied in 2020. But, of course, due to corona, I postponed my study plans by another 1 year. While working from home, I had a good opportunity to work on my profile, take online courses and prepare a better CV. In early 2021, I applied to Linköping University. I faced a lot of anxiety waiting for the results. However, the wait of 2.5 months was worth it when I received the notification of selection stating “Welcome to Linköping University”.

Without wasting any second further, I started to prepare for the next, i.e., Visa (Resident Permit), double vaccination, international travel checklist, education loan, and others. After struggling for months, I received my Residence Permit a week before travel, and the education loan was granted a day before travel. While packing, it was so difficult to decide what to carry and what to not.  Considering the fact that I shouldn’t leave essentials, I managed to carry to a first-aid box, all the electronic gadgets, and Indian spices(obviously). After taking my first international flight of straight 8 hours, I first reached Amsterdam and then Linköping directly. Since I reached a week before the start of the course, I roamed around the city and did basic shopping to settle down.

Currently, I am living my dream, enjoying every morning and studying.

Stay Tuned!
