Considering how hot it can get in summer in Sweden, re decided to look for a place with a water source so that we can spend some time going on the swim or taking a dip under waterfalls. After searching for a place, we came to a decision that we would go to Sweden’s highest waterfalls, which is the Njupeskär in Fulufjällets National Park. We have had a group of six people, and we wanted to make this vacation count. so, after all the research and planning, it took almost one week to decide what to pack. After visiting some websites and viewing some bloggers online, we came to know about the trek path, the distance of the trek, and the difficulties involved. Since the journey what about 500 kilometers from Linköping, we decided to rent a car for two days. The car can go only till Fulufjällets National Park, and it was a journey on foot after that. On the 1st day, we decided to trek to the lake Rösjön which is around 9Km from the parking area. I was very important to go near the lake for camping since the night was amazing, and we got the experience of camping near the lake at the top of the valley. There was no phone signal, it was only nature! We found a freshwater source. We had packed the necessary food required for two days, but we made sure it was lite to carry. It was kind of cold even in the month of August, and it was essential to carry good sleeping bags. The next morning, we woke up early and had our breakfast. It was certain at this point we were restless and tired because of the trek the previous day. So, hoping the trek in the morning would be easier, we started the trek around 6 in the morning. The waterfalls was just around 3 km. even though it was 3km, the path was filled with ups and downs, gravel and stones so it wasn’t easy!!

One would encounter several small ponds and lakes while traveling along the trail, and it was beautiful during the sunset. So, as I told, we climbed the valley the last evening, and it was time to descend. So, as we got closer to the waterfalls, we could see the waterfalls from the top, and we realized we should go down around the waterfalls. It was again a beautiful sight to see Sweden’s tallest waterfalls.

After taking some photos, we begin to descend, and it a was very slippery and steep. And finally, we arrived at the foot of the waterfalls, and it was worth the effort. It is indeed a good view of the tallest waterfalls in the country. The water was kind of cold and refreshing, so we decided to get into the waters.  We played in the water for almost 2 hours and then decided to head back. There was a narrow trek which took as to the car parking, and it was around 3 km. by the time, we reach the car it was around 2pm. So now we packed and make sure everyone and everything is ok and decided to get back to Linkoping to return the car on time.
