Finding the Asian ( Indian) food products
Hello, today’s blog is about the Indian (Asian) Food that you can get on Linkoping.
It will be an obvious question for anyone who wants to move to this city as an Indian or anyone who is from Asian or African countries. Fortunately, the answer is very simple, and easy to get the food that is required if you’re an Indian or an Asian. The first year when I reached Ryd, I was filled with questions about where to find Indian groceries and Indian food products. My seniors, who came before me told me that there is a big store in Skäggetorps centrum which is in TornB where we get all the Asian and Indian food items. And it took almost 10 minutes by cycle to reach there. And I remember doing this for over a year. You can also find an Indian store or an Arabic store that sells Indian products, but it was not so efficient in the beginning in Linkoping, but now we have everything. I remember in my first year, the shop was very mediocre with Indian products We, all Indians had to go to a store called Salam Livs which isn’t near. We used to do this every week so that when we bike, we would stuff our bag before cycling to ryd. But we also found some daily use products in the shop in ryd. But later from 2020 the shop in red really upgraded and notice the demand for Indian products and they started selling Indian products more and more. So now it’s very easy for the people who stay in ryd. It’s right opposite to hemköp which it only takes 5 minutes on foot. One would be surprised to see the products that we get in that store especially if you’re an Indian or an Arab you can find all the essential food products spices snacks and other products in that shop. And I would say the prices are reasonable considering the country and accessibility, so I don’t mind paying for those food products. We get all the MTR food products Which are among the favorites of the South Indians but we also get haldirams and MDH masalas and food products. All the essential rice products, varieties of rice products, and also you get all sort of grams and dhals, pickles sweets and snacks, One can even find parle G, maggie, etc. The life of the Indian students who stay in ryd is so much easier because of the shop
and the owner of the shop is very friendly and he’s so smart that he knows Which product to buy and which product not to he always asks people what you need and if the demand is more for that product you would order the next week so if you miss any products from your home you can just inform him, and he will try to get that for you. There is also a section in hemköp where you get some Indian and Asian products like nan, chicken tikka masala rotis and tortillas which can be very essential if you are in a hurry you can just go to hemköp and buy stuff. The vegetables, we Indians mostly buy from the shop Oriental lives, and we can almost find all the vegetables that we need especially the coriander leaves and mint leaves and the chilies are spicy too so for an Indian it is a very essential shop. As I said when I came Salam Livs was the only store where we used to get all the Indian products, but now we also get it in Oriental Livs which is very close and much friendlier, so I would say for anyone who is coming or who is planning to come to Linkoping, I would assure you that there won’t be any problem for your Indian food needs so you can always be the Indian you like to be by cooking some Indian food, and you can also make your friends who are from international nations enjoy Indian food.
