Assignment Writing and Time Management!
Hi everyone!
I have been admitted to the Master’s Programme “Gender Studies: Intersectionality and Change” in 2015 and I have been studying part-time due to my working obligations. As I have exceeded the official two years of studies, I am trying hard this year to complete all the courses and the points that I am missing out, while I have started writing my thesis. The latter is not a big problem because I will have to complete it during the Spring Semester and I will follow the course as it runs, so I believe, I will be motivated and inspired to do the work.
Before the thesis though, I have some remaining points from two courses. Some points refer to a final assignment that I need to submit and some others to certain reflections of weekly readings that I did not deliver when the course was happening. My plan is to get them done before the thesis writing so that I am able to focus on it. The only issue is that I have multiple other working obligations at the same time, so my time is limited. Nevertheless, I am not willing to leave the points unfinished for one more time!
These are the steps that I will follow:
- Check the exact time of the deadlines to reassure how much time is left.
- Focus on a topic of the assignment and quickly decide on an argument no matter if it is perfect or not.
- Make a word map to know approximately how the different parts will be distributed. On the positive side, this assignment is only 1500-2000 words, therefore it is not super stressful.
- Make the first draft just to complete the obligatory words.
- Edit according to the time left until the deadline.
- Submit!!!
Hope it will work out in the end! Fingers crossed 🙂
Have you ever had the same issue as me to combine the studies while working full time?
All the best,
Maria
