Balance is key.

However, Sweden is known for its delicious desserts. Especially with our weekly Fika in the Corridor, which Bernadia already talked about (check it out here), you have a lot of options right in front of your nose. You have to know that I have a really sweet tooth, so keeping this balance is pretty hard. The truth is, that the world of Kladdkaka, Våfflor and Kanelbulle got the better of me ?

Look at this ? (Babettes Kafferi)

Fortunately, the hunt for the perfect bike (which got me walking around Linköping for a few hours) and the subsequent rides up the hill to Campus US for my lectures kept me fit. Most of my colleagues can probably relate, as getting around by foot and bike is very common – especially with students.

But Linköping has even more to offer. There are the gyms, with one located directly on Campus Valla (Campushallen) and a few in the city center (Fitness24Seven, Friskis&Svettis etc.). If you are not a gym goer, you might still enjoy the classes some of them offer. I tried Yoga in English at Campushallen and really enjoyed it.

Recently I heard that the trampoline park “Yoump” is also great fun. However, you have to select the times carefully. Otherwise you might have to compete for the best jumping spots with a lot of small children. I heard that right after they open, or later in the evening, just before closing it is the best time. But I still have to try this one out myself!

Another point on my Bucket List is to check out the Climbing Hall here in Linköping.

If you have any other recommendations, I would love to hear them in the comment section below!

See you soon – possibly, while staying fit here in Linköping (or for Fika ?)!

Iris
